How can psychotherapy help?
We all struggle from time to time perhaps through bereavement, relationship breakdown and life transitions. We can also experience longer standing, deep-rooted difficulties arising from various factors, including influences we might not be fully aware of. Talking through what’s troubling you in a confidential, consistent space, with a qualified therapist, can help lessen distress and deepen self-understanding.
Talk with an experienced, qualified therapist
Eileen is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in NHS mental health services. Alongside her background in counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, and dynamic interpersonal therapy, she has extensive experience in longterm depth psychotherapy with people who wish to explore themselves more deeply.
Eileen offers in-person, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy to adults aged eighteen and over who are self-funding. She offers an initial consultation, which can take place over a few appointments, to hear what’s been difficult for you and to explore whether psychotherapy might be helpful. These early meetings give you a sense of how therapy works and help you decide whether Eileen is someone you feel you can work with.
