EILIDH LANZANI

Eilidh is an empathic experienced educational psychologist with over 25 years experience working in

education, supporting children and young people with a range of additional support needs and mental health difficulties. Eilidh continues to work part time with an education authority providing consultation, assessment, intervention and training with individuals, schools and the wider education authority.

Eilidh can provide educational psychology assessment to clarify the learning and support needs of

children aged 0 – 18 years, including identification of specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and

dyscalculia, and other general learning difficulties. Following assessments specific to the child or young

person’s needs, a full report will be provided with recommendations for appropriate interventions or

support strategies to be implemented within the educational context.

Eilidh has completed additional training and achieved qualifications in a range of therapeutic interventions including

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Dyadic

Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). Eilidh is a

highly experienced EMDR therapist, qualified to work with children, adolescents and adults. She has a

breadth of experience supporting individuals aged 3 years – adult with a range of issues including:

* Developmental and complex trauma

* Relational trauma and attachment difficulties

* Single event trauma

* Bereavement/loss

* Anxiety

* School attendance issues

* Low mood/depression

Eilidh has a playful creative approach to engaging with children and applies P.A.C.E (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy) to all of her interactions, to help children to access and understand difficult emotions and traumatic experiences, enabling them to create a more coherent life narrative and sense of identity.

Eilidh is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC, membership number PYL16558) and a member of the EMDR UK association.  Eilidh offers face to face learning assessments with children and young people (0 – 18 years) and EMDR therapy to self-funding individuals aged 3 years – adult.
